| 내용 | Hello, 안녕 하세요 I am a Korean American living and working in Singapore. I am currently looking to take on 1 to 2 students that want to learn American style English. 저는 싱가포르에서 생활하고있는 미국 교포 입니다. 미국식 영어 회화를 공부할 분을 한명에서 두명정도 찾고 있습니다. For some reason, Koreans tend to prefer learning English from those of Caucasian (white) descent. I am assuming they believe these "native" speakers make for better teachers, but I would have to disagree. Dont you think a person who had gone through the pains of mastering the English language (better than your average American) would be better at teaching others to do the same? I would say my accent is standard American (without any region specific accents) and I am actually better at expressing myself in English. 왠지 모르지만 한국분들은 백인들에게 배우는것을 선호(?) 하시는것 같더군요. "Native" 에게 배우시면 더 잘 배우실거라 생각들 하시는것 같습니다. 그렇지만 제 생각은 조금 다릅니다. 어렸을때 미국에 이민가 온갖(?) 고충을 다격어가며 평균 미국사람들보다 영어를 더 잘하도록에까지 경험한 사람이 더욱 잘 가르치지 않겠습니까? 제 발음은 미국 표준어 발음 (지역 특징의 발음 없이 표준 발음) 이고, 영어가 제 자신을 표현하기엔 더욱 편합니다. Brief Background: + UCLA graduate with bachelors degree in Economics (1996) + Worked as software engineer in the Information Technology (IT) industry (mainly in R&D) in Boston + Worked as a IT expert consultant for 2 years prior to relocating to Singapore. 경력: + UCLA 경제학 학부 (1996) + 보스톤에서 10년동안 IT 계통 R&D 프로그레머로 일함 + 싱가포르 이민전 2년간 IT consultant 로 일함 My teaching mainly focuses on conversational English. All session will be one-on-one and will need to be no less than 2 session per week and 2 hours per session. 제가 가르치는 방식은 주로 대화 위주로 합니다. 한분당 적어도 일주일에 2시간씩 두번으로 정합니다.
