[Business Profile Description]

The Centre for Cross Economy (CCE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore (https://cceglobal.com.sg),

led by professor Namjoon Cho, MRS Chair professor and Flagship Director of  President’s office, together with the Translational Materials Innovation Group (TMIG) (https://personal.ntu.edu.sg/njcho/),

spearheads transformative solutions for global sustainability and health challenges. Our interdisciplinary team, comprising experts from engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, medical sciences, and political science, focuses on bridging the gap between scientific discovery and real-world applications. By engaging in research from molecular studies to national strategy formulation, CCE aims to advance technologies in environmental, medical, and sustainability sectors that significantly improve global health and quality of life.

CCE has expanded its mission to include the pioneering Cross Economy concept, advancing beyond the traditional circular economy by emphasizing the upcycling of materials into valuable resources. This approach underpins our extensive research projects with a global reach, targeting substantial impacts on economies, industries, the environment, and societies. Our work is dedicated to catalyzing sustainable growth and driving transformational change through innovative material processing solutions that are environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially beneficial.

Through a holistic approach that encompasses not only sustainability initiatives but also infectious disease research, national strategy development, corporate collaborations, and international projects, CCE is committed to creating meaningful scientific and social value and fostering sustainable development worldwide. Our centre's efforts are aimed at making a significant and positive impact on both local and international scales, reinforcing our dedication to a healthier and more sustainable future for all.

[Job Background]

The Centre for Cross Economy (CCE), based at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, is a leading research centre dedicated to pioneering Cross Economy—an innovative sustainability model that transcends the Circular Economy. Unlike the Circular Economy, which focuses on maintaining materials within the same production cycle, Cross Economy aims to multiply economic and environmental value by converting waste into new, high-performance materials across different industries. This paradigm shift not only addresses global sustainability challenges but also unlocks new opportunities for economic growth, resource efficiency, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) innovation. With ongoing projects in materials transformation, carbon utilization, digital ESG strategies, and sustainable innovation, CCE collaborates with global partners to drive impactful research and technological advancements.

As CCE expands its research and project portfolio, the need has arisen for a dedicated professional to systematically assist the center’s researchers and ensure the smooth execution of its initiatives. The Project Officer will play a key role in supporting research, coordination, and administrative functions at CCE. This role is essential in maintaining organizational efficiency, facilitating collaboration, and enhancing the impact of CCE’s work on global sustainability.
