McQuilling Energy is an established oil brokerage company specializing on OTC Swaps/derivatives products in fuel oil, middle distillates and petrochemical products, Toluene, Benzene, ISO-MX, Paraxylene, etc. Since 2010, we have grown and build our brokers' capabilities and expertise to become one of the leading energy broking company in Singapore. Our customer base is international comprising large multinational trading companies, banks, oil majors, proprietary traders and hedge funds. 

McQuilling Energy is expanding and has broker positions to fill. Those who are currently a Money Broker, Energy or Commodity Broker are preferred for this position. However, if you met the below requirements you can still apply. 

Job Description:

1. ​You shall work as a team to develop new accounts and serve exisiting customers on OTC swaps/derivatives products from multinational trading companies, banks, oil majors proprietary traders and hedge funds;
2. Interaction with traders and handle negotiations of both parties (seller and buyer) concerned;
3. Maintaining and developing relationship with existing clients and make contact with potential clients to build new business opportunities;
4. Meeting or interacting with traders and reporters from Platts/Reuters etc in any conference event to cultivate relationship and gathering of latest market information;
5. Communicating and increasing awareness to improve the Company's profile and branding in the marketplace;
6. Conducting market research, tracking market movements, following the financial news, analyzing and understanding the behaviour of trading of the oil and gas in the market/industry;
7. Developing and maintaining a portfolio of customers contact and update changes;
8. Maintaining relationship with existing clients and make contact with potential clients to develop new business prospects;
9. Visiting or meeting clients regularly face-to-face to create rapport, gathering information, and understand their requirements;
10. Entertaining clients for relationship building and networking;
11. Arranging and facilitating the trades done and input transaction into clearing-house systems such as ICE, CME or SGX portals;
12. Learning and understanding the physical cargo broking or Fuel Oil, Middle Distillates, Naphtha, Petrochemical, or Bunker products, energy swap/futures business, and how trades are made to facilitate broking of such aforementioned products; 
13. Work closely with administrative staff to ensure quality processes for new client on-boarding and complete documentation are maintain for billing, recording, and collection. 

Requirements:

• With at least a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields. 
• Experienced in energy/commodities broking.
• Have at least 2 years of physical/OTC swap broking or trading/business development experiences. Those without experience but have high enthusiastic interest in building career in the energy market are welcome to apply. 
• Able to comminicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders. 
• Individual who is highly energetic, motivated, and enjoys doing sales and business development. 
• Able to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast pace environment. 
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. 
• Fluent in English and added advantage if multilingual (Asian or European) in order to communicate effectively with overseas clients from Asia or European countries.
