Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Business Development, the Client Account and Business Development Manager will manage the company’s relationships with its customers and develop new business opportunities for Corning Specialty Materials Gorilla® Glass (hereinafter refers to as GG) in the South East Asia region.  He/She will be responsible for building long-term relationships with a group of key customers and finding new businesses, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof.  Tasks may involve market research, customer/value chain mapping, project management, strategic planning, sales support, client audit, product application, and marketing.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing, retaining, and penetrating accounts in a manner that meets the business needs of new/existing key customers, differentiates Corning within the marketplace, which supports the achievement of both Corning International and the GG division’s growth plans for South East Asia
  • Develop and execute account plans that provide the customers with a fully integrated set of product, process, service, and technical solutions, which draw on Corning’s total value proposition to meet specific business needs
  • Maintain regular contact with the customer(s) to identify, build and strengthen the relationship, continually assess Corning’s effectiveness in meeting the customer’s needs, and ultimately maximize account penetration and customer retention
  • Serves as an advocate for both Corning and new/existing customers by creating value for both parties and balancing the needs and constraints of both parties
  • Collaborates with Application Engineering, Product Line Management, Supply Chain and other functions to negotiate favorable agreements with both new/ existing customers

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding goals, client account management and client-focused solutions experiences
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in related field
  • Talent for influencing client management
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Excellent Communicator 
  • Fluency in the English and Vietnamese languages (Other Asian languages is a plus)

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Engineering, Glass Technology, or related field (preferred)

 

TRAVELLING

  • 25% (within SEA region)
