- 싱가포르 교육부에 승인된 개인 교육 기관



외국인 중 싱가포르에서 풀타임으로 교육 과정을 이수하려고 할 시에는 싱가포르 교육부에 등록이 되어 있는 학교를 통해 학생비자를 발급 받아야 합니다.



* EduTrust Private Education Organization (PEO) : 싱가포르 교육부에 등록이 되어 있는 개인교육 기관(학교) 은 EduTrust 마크를 획득해야 외국인 학생에게 학생비자 발급이 가능함. EduTrust 등록 학교는 http://www.cpe.gov.sg 에서 확인 가능



아래에 해당하는 외국인들은 학생 비자를 발급 받지 않아도 교육 과정을 이수할 수 있습니다.



1. Immigration Exemption Order holder



2. Visitor who has been granted a short term Visit Pass at the Singapore Checkpoint and wish to attend a short course that can be completed within the validity period of the initial Visit Pass granted to him/her at the Singapore checkpoint or 30 days, whichever is shorter. It must also satisfy two other criteria, that is, the course



A. complete and stand-alone module of its own (i.e the courses should not have multiple programme modules)



B. does not involve hands-on practical occupational training and/or industrial attachment which have interaction with walk-in customers or be conducted at premises that are also the places of business, e.g. hair salons and beauty salons.



- 신규 신청



학생 비자 신청은 과정 시작 최소 2개월에서 최대 6개월 이전에 신청서를 접수 하여야 합니다.



신청자는 외국에 체류 하고 있어도 비자 신청이 가능하며 학생 비자를 기다리는 동안에 대한 방문 비자 연장이 되지 않는 경우도 있으니 싱가포르 내에서는 최대한 빨리 신청을 하는 것이 좋습니다.



신청자는 학생비자 발급이 승인이 난 후 싱가포르로 입국을 하는 것이 안전하며 보통 학과 시작 1개월 전에 승인이 나서 신청자에게 결과를 통보합니다.



- 접수



2007년 6월 1일부터 시행된 제도에 따라 신규 학생 비자 신청은 아래의 Student’s Pass Online Application & Registration + (SOLAR) System 을 통해 접수해야 합니다.

SOLAR+ 에 아직 등록이 되어 있는 않은 학교에 지원하는 경우에는 해당학교는 싱가포르 이민국 홈페이지에 있는 아래의 폼을 다운받아서 작성 후 이민국으로 접수합니다.

- 승인 기간



일반적으로 신규 학생비자 승인에 걸리는 기간은 4주가 소요되며 (PEO 중 EduTrust Star/EduTrust Status 인 경우에는 2주 소요) 해당 기간은 접수 양식 및 기타 서류의 심사에 문제가 없었을 경우에 해당됩니다. 승인 기간은 상황에 따라 연장될 수 있습니다.



- 비자 연장



같은 학교, 같은 코스로 학생 비자를 연장하려고 할 경 2007년 1월부터 시행된 제도에 의해 학생비자 연장은 아래 링크에 나오는 안내를 따라 연장 양식을 온라인으로 신청합니다.

- 승인 기간



학생비자 연장 승인에 걸리는 기간은 보통 3일정도가 소요됩니다. (접수와 수령 기간 제외) 이 기간은 접수 양식 및 서류에 문제가 없을 경우를 예를 든 것입니다.



- 전학 및 학과를 바꿀 경우



다른 PEO 혹은 코스로 학교를 바꾸어 새롭게 학생 비자를 신청하는 경우 새로운 과정이 시작 하기 전 최소 4주전에는 신청해야 하며 통상 3일의 시간이 소요됩니다.



- 로컬 스폰서



2008년 12월 15일 이후부터 학생비자 신청 시 로컬 스폰서는 필요가 없습니다.



- 보증금 (Security Deposit)



학생 비자가 승인이 날 경우 In-principle approved letter 를 받게 되며 특정 국가의 경우 보증금을 요구할 수 있습니다. 해당될 경우 In-principle approved letter 에 해당 내용이 기술됩니다.



1) Bangladesh, Myanmar, Peoples Republic of china & India : S$5,000

-> Bankers Guarntee from any established bank in singapore or cahiers Order



2) Indonesia, Philippines & Thailand : $1,000

-> Bankers Guarntee from any established bank in singapore or cahiers Order or NETS



3) Others : S$1,500

-> Bankers Guarntee from any established bank in singapore or cahiers Order or NETS



- 보증금을 안내도 되는 경우



• Nationals from Malaysia and Brunei;

• Holders of valid Dependant’s Pass, long term Visit Pass and work pass;

• Children/Spouse of Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents;

• Foreign students who study in kindergartens registered with MOE/childcare centres licensed by MCYS; Foreign students who attend a full-time course at an approved PEO that is awarded the EduTrust Star/EduTrust status;

• Foreign students who pursue a full-time university degree (Graduate/Post-Graduate) programme, except for the University of London (UOL) tuition programme, at an approved PEO; and

• Below 16 years old at the point of application.



- 학생비자 최종 확인 및 수령



2009년 4월 1일부터 학생비자 최종 확인 및 수령은 e-appointment 를 통해서 미리 약속을 정해야 합니다. e-appointment 는 https://eappointment.ica.gov.sg/ibook/index.do 로 접속해 예약을 하거나 이민국 4층에 설치되어 있는 Self-Service Ticketing Kiosk 에서도 예약이 가능합니다.

- 발급 금액



학생 비자 발급 비용은 학생비자 접수 시마다 S$30 을 지불합니다. SOLAR 시스템을 통해 Credit/Debit card 또는 internet banking 으로 납부 가능



- 보험 금액



학생비자가 발급될 때마다 S$60 의 학생비자 보험료를 지불해야 하며 비자가 필요한 국가에서 온 경우 Multiple entry visa 비용으로 S$30 을 추가로 지불합니다. 보험료는 학생비자를 수령 시 지불



- 학생 비자의 취소



외국 학생의 경우 학생 비자를 취소하고자 할 경우 과정을 그만두는 날짜에서 7일 이내로 신청을 해야 합니다. 2008년 11월 3일 이후부터 학생비자를 취소할 경우 SOLAR+ 시스템을 통해서 취소 접수 (e-cancellation) 를 해야 합니다.



온라인 취소 접수에 문제가 있을 경우 아래의 서류를 준비해 이민국 Student Pass Unit 으로도 취소 접수가 가능합니다. (Self Service Kiosk at Visitor Services Centre, 4th storey of ICA Building 에서 번호표 발급), Mon to Fri (8am to 4.30pm) Sat (8am to 12.30pm)



- 필요서류



• A duly completed cancellation form;

• Student’s Visit Pass and Disembarkation/Embarkation Card; and

• A duly completed Disembarkation/Embarkation Card (IMM Form 27A), where applicable (will be provided at ICA counters).



- 싱가포르 내 주소 이전



Immigration Regulation 19(3)(b)에 의하여 외국 학생이 주소지를 옮길 경우 14일 이내에 해당 내용을 알려야 합니다. 주소 변경은 e-update of address 에서 가능 https://solarplus.ica.gov.sg/solarplus-ica/index.do



또는 Change of Address’ 양식을 작성해 Students Pass Unit near Counter 19 에 수거함에 넣어 접수할 수 있으며 이 경우 2주의 시간이 소요, 우편으로 결과를 받아볼 수 있습니다.
