Job Responsibilities:

• Maximize profits through efficient and effective management of the end-to-end operations of voyage and time-chartered vessels while ensuring compliance with Charter Party requirements
• Proper voyage planning with the objective to optimize time saving and revenue, reduce costs, gather all required information
• Elaboration of (optimal) bunkering plan
• Making a best stowage plan
• Checking and updating port information regularly
• Providing timely and detailed instructions to the masters
• Communicating with grain commodity traders
• Calculating laytime in due course
• Appointing and instructing agents, surveyors, stevedores, weather routing company in a timely manner
• Managing Voyage; ie, monitor proactively all participants and initiate pre-emptive or corrective action whenever required
• Communicating with internal lawyer and P&I club, if there is any irregular matter
• Preparing freight billings, approving payment of hires and miscellaneous vendors invoices
• Ensuring the full voyage accounting including closing voyages
• Monitoring the issuance and on-forwarding of all cargo documents
• Enforcing the company  '  s operational security, environment policies
• Working closely with our contract partners and maintaining the company  '  s high service standards and reputation
• Performing other varied tasks, including post-voyage analysis

Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of one years  '  experience as a dry bulk operator
• Sea-going experience is an asset
• Knowledge of the bulk shipping industry
• Organized, analytical, and good interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English (verbal and written) and Proficient in Korean as this role requires liaising with the Korea HQ
• Flexible to work outside of office hours
• This role is only open to everyone that is based and working in Singapore only
