[Responsibilities]

- Vendor / Supplier Management - Build strong relationships with category-specific vendors / suppliers

- Addressing business needs with vendors / brands / suppliers

- Lead and manage the local Merchandising team to support and liaise with HQ in South Korea Merchandising team to co-ordinate and ensure smooth merchandising functions

- Coordinate shipments timeline with Logistics team and assortment management with major stakeholders

- Review product pricing and margins, sales report and sales forecast of all brands

- Analyse sales trends and reports to support business growth and goals

- Engage in strategic planning with key vendors and stake holders

- Inventory management - review ageing / obsolete / slow moving products to return to vendors or proceed depletion plan for optimizing healthy stock level

- Negotiations with brands on promotion and marketing funding, training support and visual merchandising support

- Sales and Performance - review brands monthly sales performance

- Perform market / competitors’ analysis / based on data from HQ, manage monthly price check to ensure prices in Changi Airport are lowest in the industry

- Maintain suppliers master database and update

- Prepare and presentation of scheduled Merchandising department related reports

- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

[Requirements]

[Must]

- At least 5 years of merchandising management, procurement, business planning within the Retail or Travel Retail industry

- Experience managing a team (of around 5 members)

- Meticulous and organised with good time management

- Knowledge of customs declarations, import / export documentations

- Prior experience handling large and multiple categories in Retail or Travel Retail environment

- Superior data analytics and program skills (Excel, PPT)

[Advantage]

- Prior experience with Liquor & Tobacco

- Proficiency in Korean to liaise with Korean HQ/ third party
