Preqin’s clients include fund managers, investment banks, legal firms, institutional investors, financial advisors, asset managers and placement agents.

Preqin is also a prominent supplier of bespoke data and analysis to both industry and mainstream press, regularly appearing in publications such as the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal. Preqin maintains numerous online databases, produces high level financial publications and reports, and undertakes research projects for clients. Preqin is a privately owned firm headquartered in the City of London with additional offices in New York, San Francisco, Singapore and Manila.

 

Account Manager / Senior Account Manager

  • The Role:  We are seeking an Account Manager / Senior Account Manager, to nurture and grow existing customers in Korea. Person is to be based in Singapore.  
     
  • The Impact: The individual will be part of a team responsible for strategic planning within their set territory (accounts) and be required manage the business and all related activities. They will be required to retain and grow revenue, as well as open new avenues of growth.
  • Your Skills: Experience in a B2B corporate environment, solution selling; Organized and display time management skills.

The duties and responsibilities of a successful AM are to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and goals in addition to the activities outlined below:

 

Accountabilities:

  • Ongoing development of existing accounts and driving sales via telephone. Understand in depth the customers’ business, identify their needs and provide a solution that will add value to their business. Occasional travel to customer site/ conferences may be required.
     
  • Via phone, email and web ex, manage renewals and strengthen relationships with existing accounts. Service customers and prospects with quotes, engage in product demonstration and provide sample products. Prospecting new business and manage incoming leads. Maintain a high lead to sales close conversion rate.  
     
  • Reporting and internal administration to include; CRM activity log, monthly reports to management, order administration, creating renewal analysis and preparing proposals. Continue to provide value to our customers and identify risks and opportunities.

 

Other Required Accountabilities:

  • Gather strong working knowledge of competitive intelligence
  • Develop Preqin product, technical and alternative investment market knowledge
  • Develop and deliver to management quarterly territory strategy plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal departments to achieve goals

  

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a B2B corporate environment, solution selling
  • Organized and display time management skills
  • The candidate should have excellent communication both verbal and in writing in Korean and English
  • Proven experience in conducting face to face presentations
  • Experience in handling medium complexity contract negotiations
  • Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with end user and decision makers
  • Strategic mind set
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and using CRM systems
  • Working knowledge of the data vending industry preferred
  • Required to travel to Korea several times in a year
