Job Title          :           Shipping Report Writer/Translator – Freelance or Part-Time

Reports to       :           Senior Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for writing and translating news and editorials for our flagship reports and other bespoke research reports servicing our clients in the shipping industry.

Your key role includes:

Research and Report

• Check and verify news and data when translating existing reports

• Report to the team when inconsistencies occur

Editorial

• Coordinate with analysts for materials

• Translate and write materials according to timelines

• Proofread and check accuracy

Translation

• Translate existing products which are in English to Korean

EXPERIENCE AND KEY SKILLS DESIRED

• Sound translation experience in shipping and economic research, reporting, and writing articles, reports or publications

• Knowledge in Economics and grasp of shipping terminology, particularly in oil & gas or liquid bulk chemical/petrochemical will be advantageous

• Strong command of the English language and specific translating language

• Attention to details and high accuracy of translation

• Meticulous, resourceful and possess deep sense of curiosity
