싱가포르 정보통신부 (Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, MICA) 는 올해 5월부터 싱가포르와 말레이시아에서 부과되는 핸드폰 로밍 요금을 30% 인하할 예정이며 내년 5월부터는 최고 50%까지 인하된다고 발표하였습니다. 전화 외 해외 문자 메시지를 발송할 경우에도 50% 이상 저렴한 수수료가 부과될 예정으로 알려져 있습니다.
