Housing Development Board (HDB) 는 작년 정부 아파트를 불법으로 임대해 온 95명의 정부 아파트 소유주들에게Compulsory acquisition (39명) 조치 및 벌금 $2,500 ~ $22,000 (56명) 을 부과했다고 밝히며 불법으로 정부 아파트를 임대하지 말 것을 재차 당부하였습니다. HDB 는 작년 7,000 곳의 정부 아파트를 불시 방문하여 불법 임대 현황을 조사하였으며 이는 2009년 3,000 곳과 비교해 2배가 넘는 수치입니다.

The board’s compensation policy for compulsory acquisition is that the flat owners do not enjoy undue financial gain as a result of the action. The compensation amount takes into consideration the financial penalty for the lease infringements as well as HDB’s holding and administrative costs
