싱가포르 교통부 (Land Transport Authority, LTA) 는 2011년 2월 1일(화) 부터 트럭 운전시 아래의 안전조치를 시행해야 하며 위반 시 벌금 및 벌점을 부과할 예정이라고 발표하였습니다. 교통부는 이번 조치가 트럭 사고로 인한 인명사고 및 피해를 최소화 할 수 있을 것으로 전망하고 있으며 자세한 위반 사례 및 벌금(벌점) 내용은 아래를 참고하시기 바랍니다.

For Drivers (운전자)

Failing to fill up front seats first

- First offence : $500 fine and 3 demerit points
- Repeat offence : Court action

Height of seated worker more than 1.1km from the lorry floor

- First offence : $500 fine and 6 demerit points
- Repeat offence : Court action

Carrying too many workers

- First offence : $500 fine and 6 demerit points
- Repeat offence : Court action

Carrying passengers on a goods vehicle in a dangerous mannar

- First offence : $500 fine and 9 demerit points
- Repeat offence : Court action

For Owners of the vehicles (차량 소유주)

No canopy on lorries on lorries used to carry workers

- First and subsequent offence : Court action

No higher side railings on lorries used to carry workers

- $100 Fine
