싱가포르 이민국 (ICA) 통계 자료에 따르면 2009년 이후 외국인의 싱가포르 영주권 취득수가 하락한 것으로 나타났습니다.  싱가포르 인구 증가 정책을 적용했던 2005년부터 2008년까지는 영주권 취득이 지속적인 증가세를 보였으나 영주권 취득에 대한 승인 조건을 강화한 2009년부터는 영주권 취득이 어려워지고 있는 것으로 알려지고 있습니다.

Malaysia

- Applicants must have resided in the country for a continuous period of not less than five years under a valid entry permit preceding the data of application, or If they are husbands of Malysian citizens, they must have resided in the country for a contunuous period of not less than 10 years under valid entry permit preceeding the date of application

Australia

- Applicants under the general skilled migration programme have to meet all the following conditions
- They or their partners must be less than 45 years old at the time of application
- They must have an occupation that is listed on the skilled occupation list if they are not sponsored by a state or territory government
- They must have their job skills deemed by the relevant assessing authority as appropriate to their occupation
- They need to have a high level of competency in English
- They must have recent skilled work experience or have recently obtained an Australian qualification following at least two years full time study in the country
- They must also fulfil other conditions required in their respective subclass of visa

The United States

An applicant for the green card
- May be an Immediate relative of a US citizen or the spouse or unmarried child of a US permanent resident
- Have an offer of permanent employment
- Have chalked up work experience in specialised jobs such as a religious vocation
- Have invested US $1 million or at least US$500,000 in a targeted employment area

CANADA

Applicants wanting to be admitted as skilled migrants
- Must have an offer of arranged employment
- Be foreign nationals who have lived legally in the country for a year as temporary foreign workers or international students
- Be skilled workers with at least one year of experience in one or more of the listed occupations
