How is your child posted?
This month, you will be asked to make a choice of six schools llin order of preference that you wish your child to go to. But how does your child get into the school of choice?
First of all, every child is ranked. the posting exercixe stasrts with the first student, who has the highest aggregate score.
He will automatically recieve the school of his first choice. For this example, the top PSLE student has a PSLE aggregate score of 280. His first choice is school1 (그림-COA 250인 학교), so he will be admitted to school1. The exercise moves on tho the next ranted pupil and so on. Vacancies are gradually filled-up. The aggregate score of the child who takes up the last place in a school will become that schools "Cut-off Aggregate" (COA)

1. Merit (child A 265 - 1st choice school1) ((그림-COA 250인 학교))
Child As aggregate score is 265 and has no trouble getting into his first choice school 1, which still has places available.
2. choice (child B 240 - 1st choice school1, 2nd choice school2)
child C 239 - 1st choice school2, 2nd choice school3)
((그림- School2 - COA 220, School3 - COA - 210))
Child Bs first choice is also School1, but all its places have been filled at 250. With a PSLE score of 240, she is automatically placed into her second choice which still has vacancies, enven ahead of Child C who chose School 2 as his first choice. IT IS STILL MERIT BEFORE CHOICE.
3. Places available (child D 200 - 1st choice School2, 2nd choice School 3 etc)
In child Ds case, her score is unable to get her any of her six choices as all six schools have filled their vacancies. MOE will try to find a place at a school near her home that still has a vacancy for her score.
배정 방식이 이렇다 보니 특별한 변화가 없는 이상 매해 COA 가 비슷비슷했나봅니다.
그러니 정말 가고 싶은 학교에 1,2 점 정도는 모험을 해봐도 되겠지만 굳이 여러 군데를 아슬아슬 지원할 필요는 없을 것 같아요. 그래서 1,2지망에서 대충 결정난다고들 하겠죠? ^^
