Job Title: General Ledger (GL) Team Lead – [KOREA, ANZ] Location: Singapore Number of Positions: 1 Purpose: Maintenance of the General Ledger under Oracle under the supervision of the GL Manager. Responsibilities: • Maintenance of the general ledger of Australia, New Zealand & Korea. • Supervision of a small team of general ledger analysts. • Processing of all general ledger journals (e.g. prepayments, accruals, payroll related liabilities etc); • Check integrity of interfaces and completeness of sub ledger postings; • Review reasonableness of the of the GL account balances at the end of each month; • Liaison with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Fixed Assets teams on an on-going basis; • Assist the GL Manager on all reporting issues and other ad-hoc issues; • To provide timely and accurate support to the Regional Controller & Regional Accounting Manager and other internal customers; • Timely preparation of relevant supporting returns and schedules for tax and statutory reporting. • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation and monthly ledger reviews with GL Manager. • Ensure timely statutory & tax compliance. Other Information (if applicable): • Understanding and exposure/ experience in network/ telecommunication industries would be ideal; • Able to add value to the General Ledger process. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: • Qualified Accountant; Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or similar qualification, with 4-6 yrs of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an MNC environment; • Ability to read, write & speak fluent Korean & English. • Good knowledge of local Korean GAAP and tax requirements • General all round accounting skills with analytical experience; • Excellent communication skills; • Mature individual with the ability to manage interpersonal relationships with internal/ external customers, and • Cheerful personality & results driven.
