Russell’s investment programs provide a manager-of-manager approach based on a research driven evaluation of outside money managers. Today, through its variety of multi-manager funds in both the retail and institutional investment services, over US$200 billion in assets is invested in Russell funds across 44 countries. Russell is currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated Junior Business Development Officer to join its Singapore office. Reporting to the General Manager, you will have an active role in assisting in developing client relationships leading to cash flow into Russell funds. The primary role will be to focus on expanding and servicing the representation of Russell’s funds across the financial institutions and distribution channels in Korea. To be successful in this hands-on role, the ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years managed funds industry background, with strong client service and negotiation skills. In addition, a sound knowledge of the Asian financial market coupled with a strong cultural background of Korea is required. Exceptional written and oral communication in Korean and English is essential, together with excellent presentation skills and a thorough understanding of investment management processes. Whilst strong sales and relationship management, communication and problem solving skills are all prerequisites, to really excel the candidate must possess a creative approach to relationship development as well as being highly motivated and adaptable.
