Position : Vendor Managed Inventory Analyst. Job Duties: The Vendor Managed Inventory Analyst (“VA”) is responsible for managing the inventory at the various hubs to ensure that no excess inventory, aged inventory or stock out situations occur. This calls for regular and consistent monitoring of ERP, superior analytical tools and customer information to proactively identify situations that need to be addressed. The VA is responsible for enhancing the customer’s VMI experience by professional conduct and superior service. He/she ensures that customer delivery and service needs are met effectively and timely. The goal is to always have the right product at the right hub at the right time but while supporting Company’s profitability goals by keeping the inventory levels within the agreed to minimum and maximum levels. The VA shall solidify the relationship with the Field, Product Lines, the Production Planning organization, the Customer Service Representatives (CSR) and collectors through close and tactical collaboration. For example, plan changes, demand variability and volatility as well as customer liability and hub returns are critical issues to work through as a team. This will allow Company to seamlessly support the customer. The VA works to optimize VMI processes and facilitates the sharing of best practices amongst his counterparts and colleagues. He/she initiates and /or performs root cause analyses and corrective actions, analysis of costs or alternatives relating to order management, transportation, duties, tax, warehousing, inventory control, process improvements. Provides support to other departments/functions to ensure that customer supply chain needs, policies, programs, and processes are understood. The VA utilizes new and existing technologies to integrate and improve Supply Chain Information and Physical Process Flows. Monitors and analyzes VMI performance measures to determine if processes are meeting business objectives. Uses project management techniques, TQC and technical skills to investigate, analyze, recommend and implement solutions to Supply Chain problem. Understands and monitors Supply Chain based performance measurement systems and develops what-if scenarios to assure continuity of supply. Responsibilities: Drive the performance of VMI hubs he/she is responsible for. Is accountable for Key Performance Indicators for all of his/her accounts: Aged Inventory, Fill Rate, Inventory Turns, Inventory Excess. Monitor Revenue and Forecast information to ensure parts meet the VMI criteria. Proactively identify and correct exceptions to agreed to deliveries, inventory levels, etc. Identify liability situations and assist in enforcement by providing data and justification for liability levels. Drive and develop formal root cause analysis and corrective action plans when Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are out of limits and/or customer satisfaction has been deteriorated Monitor Oracle data integrity and timeliness including in transit shipments. Perform Oracle set ups authorized by the VMI/Oracle regional process owner (GSCM) Drive the part addition and removal process in conjunction with the field and factory.- Drive and execute hub returns When contractually agreed to provide commit and inventory data to the customer. Maintain customer and 3PL addendum for part additions Perform hub inventory audits in collaboration with GSCM Ensure 3PL’s execution is flawless and escalate to management as needed Act as the liaison contact for the factory on VMI matters including forecast vs. actual, billings vs. pulls, inventory levels, etc. Promote and build collaborative relationship relationships with the Field and the Factory Comply with audit requirements and Companys policies. Solves a broad range of customer service-related problems of varying scope and complexity Requirements Bachelor or Master degree in Arts or Science or equivalent with exposure in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience, together with minimum of 3 years working experience. Demonstrated analytical, statistical skills and planning capabilities to proactively manage inventory programs Project management exposure desired Strong customer oriented mindset, speak and write and able to communicate with all levels ood decision making abilities, & able to give command if necessary Proactive and responsive, professional behavior with solution and Quality attitude Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally Demonstrated knowledge of software applications such as ERP (preferably Oracle) and spreadsheets. Proficient in using advanced tools to manage such chain programs Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills - Ability to work autonomously Fluent in Korean language and Korean culture Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management concepts added advantage. Capable to advise, influence and drive change.
