Operations Executive Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Within the team, there are 3 broad types of activities: Enhancing value from our cargo trading activities Proactively managing risks across the supply and operational activities Ensuring all relevant aspects of the contracts and control processes are efficiently executed Responsible for day-to-day handling of cargoes, storage and interaction with counterparties and internal stakeholders. Critical activities, that may be allocated across different individuals Managing shipments of oil between locations or counterparties and all the associated documentation and assurance processes required (LC, contracts, appointment of inspectors etc) Providing specialist expertise on contracts, cargo assurance, and demurrage to manage risk and support in the claims and recoveries of monies from counterparties. Enhances the efficiency across operations by managing the flow and storage of documents, tracking costs and performance of key metrics, providing periodic reports and efficiently tracking payment and approvals QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Strong drive and desire to work in fast paced, dynamic environment Deep expertise in cargo operations Commercial acumen, problem solving and negotiation skills, and ability to build effective relationships with counterparties and suppliers Ability to work with large, multi-disciplinary teams Experience in related sectors, such as shipping, inspection companies, refining or terminalling, will be an advantage.
