올해부터 외국인 등록 기간인 Phase 3 (8월 25일)때도 지원자 수가 정원보다 많으면 그 다음 날인 26일에 추첨을 한다고 하네요... 26일 추첨에서도 떨어지면 그 이후에 다른 학교에 지원할 수 있고요.. (남는 자리가 있을지.... 쩝~) 밤새 학교 앞에서 기다리진 않아도 되겠지만.. 실제 원하는 학교에 들어갈 수 있는 확율은 더 낮아진 듯한 느낌이 드는건... ㅡㅡ;; 아무래도 싱가폴 정부는 엄마들이 전날부터 학교앞에 줄서는 것을 원치 않는 것 같아요.

New Phase 3 Registration
Children who are neither Singapore Citizens nor Singapore Permanent Residents may register at the schools directly under Phase 3 on Thursday, 25 August 2011. The hours of registration are from 8.00 am to 11.00 am and from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
With effect from the 2011 Primary One Registration Exercise, balloting will be conducted in Phase 3 if the number of applications exceeds the number of places available at the end of the first day of Phase 3 registration. Balloting will be conducted on Friday, 26 August 2011.
After the balloting is completed, children who have not been able to obtain a place at their school of choice can go to another school with remaining vacancies to register on a first-come-first-served basis on 26 August 2011.

The child’s Passport : 아이 여권
The child’s Immigration Exemption Order / Dependant’s Pass (if any) : 혹시 있다면 IEO /DP
The child’s Letter on Outcome of Qualifying Test / Admissions Exercise for International Students (if any) :
Parents’ travel document/Singapore NRIC/Entry or Re-entry Permit/Employment Pass/Work Permit : 부모 여권(입국할 때 받은 Visit Pass) 혹은 Employment Pass나 Work Permit
The child’s Immunisation Certificates : 아이 영문 예방접종 기록

이 부분이 좀 애매합니다.
그대로 해석한다면 첫날의 끝에 정원에 초과되면 그 다음날 투표가 진행된다는 내용이니
25일에 등록을 하자면 여전히 선지원 선합격의 Rule이 적용되는것으로 유추됩니다.
제가 정확히 알아보도록 노력하겠고 후에 알려드리도록 하지요.

danielle (danielle)저도 혹시나 싶어서 MOE에 직접 전화해서 확인했는데요,,, 25일 등록 시간(8.00 am to 11.00 am and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm) 안에만 와서 지원하고 만약 자리보다 지원자가 많으면 싱가폴 시민/PR 우선으로 자리를 주고 외국인 학생에 경우는 그 이후에 남는 자리에 대해 추첨 진행한다고 합니다. 추첨시간에 대해선 웹사이트에 공지될거고 추첨 결과는 학교에서 학부모들에게 직접 전화로 연락이 간답니다. Phase 3에 지원한 학교에서도 떨어지면 그 이후엔 first-come-first-served basis이니까 각자 공석이 있는 학교를 알아봐서 지원하고요.. 그러니까 선지원 선합겹 Rule은 Phase 3이후에나 적용됩니다. 왜 이렇게 바꿨냐고 물어보니까, Phase 2C까지도 학교를 못보내는 싱가폴 시민/PR을 위해서 바뀐거라고 하더군요... (ㅡㅜ) 모쪼록 도움이 되셨길 바래요..
