What are the physical requirements for a kindergarten?

        A kindergarten should have sufficient room space for an education programme consisting of 3 levels, nursery, K1 and K2. A music-movement room and a sufficient number of toilets and washbasins of appropriate for young children should also be provided for within the premises.  The guideline for classroom space is 1.88m2 for learning activities and 3m2 for music-movement lessons per child.  The teacher-pupil ratio is one teacher to 25 children for K2 level, 20 children for K1 level and 15 children for nursery level.  The nursery class group will also require a teacher-aide (adult helper).
