Hello,
Im looking for some new shabu shabu buddies.
I know of this great shabu shabu/grill buffet near Bugis (they even have samgyupsal), but I often (ok, always) have problems finding people to go with me.
Whats so good about this place?
-Buffet
-Cheap (under $20)
-Great selection (samgyupsal, chili crab, all sorts of stuff)
-steamboat AND grill
-last but not least, they have Tom Yam soup broth...yeah the spicy/sour broth for steamboat!
If you are looking for a meal buddy, dont hesitate to send me a jjok-ji. I usually go there around 7 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and often on the weekends. Actually, its completely random when I go and always a last minute decision.
As for my background, Im a guy in my thirties. Grew up in the US and have been working in Singapore for the past 10 months or so. I usually have no qualms about eating alone (i eat alone all the time at food courts), but its kinda wack to eat alone at a buffet, especially when the smallest tables they have come w/ a minimum of four seats.
Im looking for professional eaters thats not going to quit after eating 3 shrimps. However, if youre an attractive lady, its perfectly ok to not be a buffet specialist. You can just sit there looking pretty while I eat for all I care. And yes I can speak Korean quite well...just takes me longer to type in Korean.
Lets put them out of business or get banned trying!
